Journal of Islamic Law and Legal Studies is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal dedicated to advancing research on Islamic law through interdisciplinary perspectives that connect Sharia principles with contemporary legal, economic, and social developments. Volume 1, Number 1 (2024), available online from 4 June 2024, features 5 original research articles authored by 13 scholars from 3 countries, including Indonesia, Afghanistan, and Malaysia. This inaugural issue highlights important discussions on Islamic finance, Sharia banking practices, Islamic contract law, family law, and dispute resolution mechanisms. By presenting studies on Murabahah implementation, Mudharabah financing, marriage law, Islamic legal foundations, and trust financing disputes, Volume 1, Number 1 (2024) provides valuable insights into the application and development of Islamic legal principles in addressing contemporary financial and social challenges.
